MOLE REMOVALS
At Ann Arbor Saline Dermatology, we routinely remove atypical moles as recommended by our colleagues in dermatopathology (microscope doctors). There are several different techniques that can be used depending on the size, location, and how atypical the mole is. We will discuss all these options to find the best fit for you.
MOLE EVALUATION
We also offer mole evaluation at Ann Arbor Saline Dermatology to determine if your mole is likely to be benign, precancerous, or cancerous. Depending on the evaluation, we can discuss various management options including observation, biopsy, and complete excision. OCCASIONAL REFERRAL
For some patients, depending on the size and location of the atypical mole, we recommend referral to an ENT or plastic surgeon. That's because at Ann Arbor Saline Dermatology, we make sure you have the absolute best person for the job - even if it isn't with us. If you are a new patient, feel free to call ahead of time and ask if we perform mole removals in your specific area of the body.
