Actinic keratoses (pre-cancers) are skin lesions that have a risk of progressing to squamous cell cancer. They are more common as one ages, but can be seen in young people as well. You will be carefully screened for any evidence of pre-cancers during a skin exam, and can choose the best treatment for you depending on your goals and comfort level.
